Key Responsibilities:
- Full-Cycle Accounting:
- Manage the end-to-end accounting process, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and tax compliance.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Lead financial statement preparation, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Reconcile all accounts and prepare journal entries for month-end close.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare detailed financial statements, reports, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes and provide strategic insights to support business decisions.
- Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a high-performing and collaborative work environment.
- Provide training and performance evaluations to ensure professional growth within the team.
- System & Process Optimization:
- Led in the optimization of Sage 300 and other accounting/ERP systems to streamline operations and improve financial reporting.
- Continuously evaluate and improve internal controls, processes, and systems to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaboration with CFO:
- Work closely with the CFO to support strategic financial planning, reporting, and analysis.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations on operational performance and strategic initiatives.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Master's in Accounting is a plus.
- 5- 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles.
- Hands-on experience with Sage 300 (or similar ERP system) and full-cycle accounting.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
- Strong understanding of ERP systems and the ability to work with various accounting software.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing accounting teams.
