Description

Phosphorex is seeking a motivated and proactive Sales Development Representative to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will drive sales and foster client engagement by identifying potential customers, managing leads, and promoting our cutting-edge nanoparticle-based drug delivery technologies. Roles & Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed the monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and revenue targets for Phosphorex's nanoparticle-based drug delivery business.
  • Conduct outreach to potential clients via phone calls, emails, and virtual meetings to generate new business opportunities.
  • Manage incoming lead generation channels and conduct initial qualification analysis of the Opportunity prior to cascading to the appropriate Subject Matter Experts (SME's).
  • Support Phosphorex's proposal management process including drafting, peer review process coordination, and record management.
  • Manage the assigned Accounts, prospecting for new business opportunities within the desired client base and actively manage and grow existing client relationships.
  • Manage Phosphorex's Client Relationship Management (CRM) system, ensuring accurate client data, Opportunity Management and forecasting metrics are relevant and kept up to date. Generate relevant reports that demonstrate sales force effectiveness.
  • Support sales of Phosphorex's catalogue offering including standard and custom PLGA microspheres and nanoparticles.
  • Support market intelligence activities by engaging in Voice-of-the-Customer (VOC) initiatives, evaluation of existing and new technology platforms, industry trends and future needs of the customer and the wider market.
  • Understand the competitive environment and continuously hone Phosphorex's value proposition and differentiators to ensure competitive advantage.
  • Execute strategies for pricing optimization to support value capture targets and prevent margin erosion.
  • Support marketing and thought leadership activities via outreach campaigns, participation in conferences, tradeshows, and industry forums / networking events.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Qualifications & Education Requirements

  • B.S., M.S chemistry, biochemistry, material science, polymer sciences, pharmaceutical sciences or related discipline.
  • 1 - 2 years' experience in a business development or sales and marketing role serving the biotechnology and biopharmaceutical marketplace.
  • Preferred Skills

  • An understanding of territory management and client relationship skills
  • Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce.com, HubSpot, SAP CRM
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and self-directed entrepreneurial environment.
  • Effective presentation and meeting skills within all levels of the organization with internal and external colleagues and collaborators
  • Well-versed in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Physical Requirements : Ability to lift up to 20 lbs., including equipment, instrumentation, and conference materials.

    Work Environment : This is an office-based position at our HQ in Hopkinton, MA with the eligibility to participate in Phosphorex's flexible work arrangement program.

    Travel : Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time to support prospecting activities, manage existing client accounts, attend industry conferences, and participate in training opportunities.
