Introduction to the Surgery Scheduler Position:
Seeking a Surgery Scheduler for a fast-paced Ambulatory Surgery Center. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into the clinic's operations during the orientation period, as you'll observe and engage with other departments to understand how they collaborate seamlessly within the surgery center.
Surgery Scheduler Role Details:
- Location: Encino, CA
- Salary: $25-$28 per hour, based on your experience in related field.
- Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Surgery Scheduler Responsibilities:
- Surgery Scheduling: Coordinate procedures with hospitals and surgery centers, secure pre-op testing, and manage documentation
- Paperwork & Orders: Ensure accurate, timely documentation and communication between patients, physicians, and facilities
- Patient & Staff Interaction: Provide clear, responsive communication and schedule follow-ups
- Process Coordination: Route paperwork per physician and facility requirements, ensuring efficiency and compliance
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve scheduling barriers to maintain optimal turnaround times
- Compliance: Follow HIPAA, safety, and clinic policies for a secure work environment
Surgery Scheduler Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED required
- 1 year of surgery scheduling or related experience
- Strong communication skills with physicians, patients, and staff
- Knowledge of medical procedures, terminology, and office operations
- Proficient in practice management software and office technology
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods; lift up to 25 lbs
- Extensive phone interaction required
