Job Description
Physical Sciences Inc., located just north of Boston in Andover, seeks a physicist/engineer to contribute to the development of portable atom-based or optical sensors for precision measurement applications. PSI seeks candidates that can leverage knowledge across engineering disciplines (mechanical, optical, electrical, software etc.) along with detailed understanding of underlying physical principles to contribute to the development of novel sensors based on underlying light-atom interactions or other optical-based phenomena. The ideal candidate should be interested in a career devoted to applied research and development with strong experimental, hardware, and leadership skills. Successful candidates will contribute to existing projects as well as have opportunities to develop new programs in similar or related areas.
PSI seeks candidates with experience with one or more of the following:
PhD or Masters Degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Optics, or Electrical Engineering required.
US Citizenship is required.

- Narrow linewidth lasers and frequency stabilization
- Optical Frequency Combs
- Precision Measurement
