What are the responsibilities and job description for the PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR position at Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Centers?
Part Time Patient Care Coordinator opening in a private practice physical therapy clinic in Essex, CT.
We are looking for an outgoing, dependable individual to support the front desk with patient services while assisting with quality patient care under the direct supervision of a physical therapist. You will be responsible for providing outstanding and professional customer service to ensure efficiency throughout the clinic and promote a positive patient experience. Experience with customer service, working in a medical setting, and/or an exercise science background preferred. Applicants must be available year-round.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Greet all patients in a friendly and courteous manner
- Assist with front desk responsibilities such as answering the phone, scheduling patients, taking payments, etc.
- Observe patients during treatment and report changes in patient's condition to clinical staff
- Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient therapy environment and assist with patient care as directed by the clinical staff
- Clean treatment tables, equipment and surfaces and keep supplies stocked
- Requires various forms of physical effort such as walking, standing, squatting and bending
Clinics are open 7:00 am - 7:00pm. Schedule TBD; some shifts will include evening coverage.
