JOB SUMMARY
Performs x-rays per clinician’s orders and processes films. May perform C-arm procedures as per technician training. Maintains and documents per regulation. Assists with therapies and other office or clerical duties as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS
Certification: Basic Radiologic Technician Certification required
Registration: Current registration required
Experience: Two years radiology technician experience preferred

Completes duties according to the requirements of each approved procedure needing radiological support.
- Assembles necessary supplies and positioning aids for scheduled procedure according to clinician order.
- Tests and monitors equipment for proper working condition.
- Follows manufacturer’s specifications and OSHA guidelines when performing x-ray procedures.
- Utilizes appropriate shielding prior to performing x-ray.
- Follows principles of aseptic technique in performing duties during the procedure.
Performs required maintenance of instruments, supplies, and equipment by adhering to cleaning, care, storage, and calibration procedures as directed.
- Handles equipment and instruments correctly to provide availability and safety.
- Maintains adequate supplies to provide immediate availability during the procedure.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area.
Responds in a timely manner to meet the needs of the patient and the physician.
- Documents and completes required forms according to organization’s policy.
- Communicates information about the patient’s status to others responsible for patient care.
- Accurately comprehends orders and directions.
- Abides by the organization’s HIPAA policies and procedures
- Complies with organization’s Infection Control policies and procedures
