Position Summary
Responsible for posting charges, payments and adjustments. Generates electronic or paper claims for submissions and follows up with insurance problems concerning phone calls or written requests for review by performing the duties as described below.
Job Functions
To bill facilities, patients, and insurance agencies for services rendered by Physician’s Mobile X-ray. To follow guidelines set up and established to comply with government agencies and maintain the integrity of the profession.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Generates electronic or paper claims
2. Posts payments and adjustments
3. Follows up with necessary insurance problems per phone calls or written appeals when applicable
4. Generates secondary insurance claim forms.
5. Generates patient statements
6. Works on aging accounts to ensure timely collections.
7. Maintains confidentiality in regard to patient accounts.
8. Processes returned mail for correct addresses.
9. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, CPT and ICD-9 Codes.
Education –
Associate must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent. Associate must have one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
