SUMMARY
The Help Desk Specialist will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. Responds to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problem, and determines and implements solution.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
- Maintain daily performance of computer systems.
- Respond to email messages for customers seeking help and walk customer through problem-solving process, as needed.
- Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
- Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems.
- Install computer peripherals for users.
- Write training manuals.
- Train computer users.
- Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems and run reports to determine malfunctions that continue to occur.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Working knowledge of fundamental operations of relevant software, hardware and other equipment
- Knowledge of relevant call tracking applications
- Experience and training in troubleshooting and providing help desk support
- 2-3 years of customer service experience

Help Desk Specialist Employment Eligibility includes:
