Job Title : Inside Sales and Help Desk Specialist

Location : Splashwire, Inc, Mechanicsburg, PA

Job Type : Full-Time, In-House

Work Schedule : Monday – Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM (In-House) On-Call Rotation

Job Summary :

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Inside Sales and Help Desk Specialist to join our team. This role is a 50 / 50 split between inside sales and Tier 1 help desk support. The ideal candidate must be able to multitask between sales and procurement responsibilities while also effectively managing and resolving IT support tickets. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the ability to collaborate with both customers and internal technical teams.

Key Responsibilities :

Inside Sales (50%)

  • Prepare and process quotes, orders, and purchase requests for IT products, including servers, network equipment, computers, and software.
  • Procure and receive IT hardware and software, ensuring accurate inventory tracking and order fulfillment.
  • Maintain strong vendor and supplier relationships to secure competitive pricing and product availability.
  • Assist with pricing negotiations and contract management for hardware and software purchases.
  • Work closely with the accounting and technical teams to ensure seamless order processing and delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, order status, and vendor agreements.

Help Desk (50%)

  • Triage, manage, and resolve Tier 1 help desk tickets , including basic troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Provide first-level support for end users via phone, email, and ticketing system.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, technical teams, and C-Level executives regarding ticket status and resolutions.
  • Escalate complex issues to Tier 2 / Tier 3 support when necessary, ensuring proper follow-through.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation schedule to provide after-hours support as needed.
  • Qualifications & Skills :

  • 1-3 years of experience in inside sales, procurement, or IT help desk support.
  • Strong understanding of IT hardware and software , including servers, networking equipment, and workstations.
  • Familiarity with sales and procurement processes , including quoting, ordering, and vendor management.
  • Experience with ticketing systems and IT service management best practices.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills to track orders and support tickets effectively.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows, macOS, and networking concepts (preferred but not required).
