Summary / Objective:
PSW is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Communications Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. This role will play a critical part in enhancing our organization's communication strategies and ensuring high-quality, consistent messaging across all platforms. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, skilled editor, and collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Functions:
- Collaborate with multiple departments to develop, review, and finalize content for educational and marketing materials.
- Maintain a consistent voice and tone across all communications.
- Draft and edit press releases, social media posts, and other public-facing communications.
- Serve as the primary editor for all organizational materials, ensuring grammatical accuracy and adherence to style guidelines.
- Ensure branding continuity across all platforms and materials.
- Manage version control for marketing and educational collateral to avoid duplication or outdated materials.
- Track CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) regulations to ensure compliance in branding and collateral materials.
- Draft professional correspondence and communications to political representatives in support of PSW's advocacy efforts.
- Collaborate with leadership to align advocacy messaging with organizational goals.
- Develop and schedule engaging social media posts to promote organizational initiatives.
- Monitor and respond to audience engagement as needed.
- Assist with developing and implementing a strategic communications plan, ensuring consistency and strong brand presence across all mediums.
- Produce accurate, effective and persuasive written material appropriate for a wide variety of audiences.
- Coordinate content for internal company communications such as newsletters.
- Assist in developing event and promotional materials to support brand awareness.
- Maintain and increase professional knowledge of the latest trends, practices, programs, and applications in communications/media/networking.
- Ensures compliance with PSW policies and procedures with emphasis on compliance with HIPAA requirements.
