Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, inspection, and repair of airframe structures in compliance with FAA and manufacturer standards.
- Fabricate, modify, and repair sheet metal and composite structural components using engineering blueprints, technical manuals, and written instructions.
- Conduct airframe modifications, including drilling, riveting, and structural assembly.
- Utilize various hand and power tools to shape, install, and replace airframe components.
- Correct discrepancies in airframe components using information from engineering drawings or technical documents.
- Document all aircraft maintenance actions using the required forms, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Assist in ordering materials, supplies, and parts for airframe repairs.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers on airframe-related tasks and troubleshoot as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Strong understanding of airframe maintenance procedures and FAA regulations.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication, composite materials, and airframe structural components.
- Ability to operate various hand and power tools used in airframe repairs.
- Knowledge of aircraft adhesives, sealants, and hazardous material handling procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documenting maintenance actions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with other team members.
- Basic computer knowledge, including MS Office Suite.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot airframe issues.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 5 years of experience in airframe maintenance or related field.
- Composite experience preferred.
- Must pass an FAA drug test.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
