JOB TITLE : Airframe Technician II

REPORTING TO : Maintenance Supervisor

Piasecki has developed and flown more than 25 different advanced VTOL and UAV aircraft and continues to develop cutting-edge vertical flight technologies.
SUMMARY :
The Piasecki Aircraft Corporation Airframe Technician is responsible for performing maintenance, repair, fabrication, and modification of airframe structures on experimental rotorcraft and unmanned air vehicles. The role involves ensuring airframe integrity and safety by adhering to FAA regulations and manufacturer specifications. The Airframe Technician will work closely with engineers and other team members to execute airframe-related tasks and maintain documentation of all work performed.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Perform maintenance, inspection, and repair of airframe structures in compliance with FAA and manufacturer standards.
- Fabricate, modify, and repair sheet metal and composite structural components using engineering blueprints, technical manuals, and written instructions.
- Conduct airframe modifications, including drilling, riveting, and structural assembly.
- Utilize various hand and power tools to shape, install, and replace airframe components.
- Correct discrepancies in airframe components using information from engineering drawings or technical documents.
- Document all aircraft maintenance actions using the required forms, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Assist in ordering materials, supplies, and parts for airframe repairs.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers on airframe-related tasks and troubleshoot as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
