JOB SUMMARY
This is a part-time position that will be responsible for regular and routine maintenance and repairs. The Maintenance Worker will report directly to the General Manager. This position also includes a working knowledge of and use of materials, tools, equipment, infrastructure, repairs, and facilities.
Essential Duties
- Performs routine landscaping and general clean-up of property.
- Performs minor plumbing repairs including unplugging toilets & sinks, snaking drain lines, repair leaking sinks etc.
- Checks and cleans smoke and carbon dioxide alarms yearly or as required, work with vendor to ensure all fire extinguishers are charged and operable as required.
- Tests and identifies minor electrical fixtures and outlets for needed repairs.
- Knowledge of safety procedures when dealing with chemicals for cleaning and repairing purposes.
- Facility inspections are required, monthly preventive maintenance to be done on all building systems, faucets, flooring, gutters, A/C units, etc. to ensure facility systems are always functional.
- This position will require local driving for pickup of repair items for business purposes.
- Maintains maintenance, materials, tools, and equipment inventory control ledger.
- Must have a strong work ethic and maintain integrity when performing work.
- Maintain storm drain system, car wash, trench drain, fire pumps, domestic water building, water storage tank, fire sprinkler system.
- Ability to relate well and communicate clearly with employees, contractors, and management.
- Follow instructions from managers and/or supervisors.
- Loading and unloading maintenance materials.
- Performs the various physical tasks required on a worksite to complete projects on time.
- Must be able to climb and handle a ladder.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalency required.
- Experience in general maintenance in a professional manner.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
- Experience using hand and electrical tools
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals and drawings.
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills
- Successful completion of an apprenticeship is required with certification.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to perform work efficiently and expeditiously.
- Must have the ability to move and sit for an extended period of time.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 20-50 lbs.
- Must have a valid Driver's license with no restrictions.
- Must successfully complete a background investigation and pre-employment drug/alcohol screen.
- Must successfully pass a drug test for all non-cannabis substances

PRCI Tribal Preference:
In accordance with applicable Tribal Law, and Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, the PRCI Administration shall give preference in hiring, promotion, transfer, and lay-off to enrolled members of the Picayune Rancheria of Chukchansi Indians. To qualify for this preference, applicants must submit verification of enrollment in the Tribe. Preference means that Tribal Members who are equally qualified as non-tribal members will be hired. In addition, on the Human Resources Interview rubric that allows for a total of 75 points during interviews, Tribal members will be awarded an additional 7.5 points (10% of allotted points) counted in the overall tally. Tribal members who are not Chukchansi will receive Indian preference by awarding five additional points (6.7% of the total allotted points).
