Position Overview
As the Patient Financial Coordinator, you will serve as a vital link between our patients and our financial processes. Your role will ensure a seamless experience for patients by managing treatment plans, payment arrangements, and insurance claims efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Communication: Discuss treatment costs, payment options, and financial arrangements with patients and families.
- Insurance Coordination: Verify insurance benefits, submit claims, and follow up on outstanding claims.
- Account Management: Monitor and manage patient accounts, including billing, posting payments, and tracking balances.
- Reporting: Prepare financial reports and communicate account statuses to the management team.
- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service to patients by addressing questions and concerns regarding financial matters.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the front desk, treatment coordinators, and clinical team to ensure smooth patient experiences.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dental/orthodontic office or healthcare finance role is preferred.
- Knowledge of insurance billing and claims processes (orthodontic experience is a plus).
- Proficiency in dental/orthodontic practice management software (e.g., Dolphin Management, Dentrix, Orthotrac).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
