Job Title: Operations Support - Tracking
Job Summary: The Operations Support for the Tracking Team is a vital component for constant / flawless communication between operations, customers, company drivers and brokered carriers. To be successful in this position you must be a team player, problem solver, multi-tasker and be able to handle a high volume of phone calls in a sometimes-stressful environment.
Essential Functions of the Job - Responsibilities included but are not limited to:
· Communicating with drivers and dispatchers for updates to ensure on time pickups/deliveries.
· Making outbound calls to check on the status of loads.
· Answering all inbound calls and resolving issues in a timely manner
· Tracking and tracing shipments from pickup to delivery
· Updating the system with pickup/delivery times and any fees associated with the load.
· Multitasking, handling multiple issues at a time while determining which ones take the most immediate priority.
· Sending/Answering Customer emails and phone calls for updates in a timely manner
· Updating Customer websites/portals with corresponding check-in/check-out times
· Starting the OS&D resolution process during deliveries by obtaining pictures of the product and BOL / POD’s and forwarding them to the appropriate customer & account management team.
· Issuing electronic wires (Comchecks) for loading / unloading lumpers, adding the money issued back into the “other pay” section of a load, and reporting unloading charges to Accessorials & the appropriate account management Team.
· Scheduling / Re-scheduling appointments as needed, or submitting the request to the appropriate party
Requirements:
· Must be computer literate and experienced with Excel and Outlook.
· Ability to learn how to navigate freight management software.
· Team player. Team members may sometimes be called upon to cover shifts outside of their routine schedule.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to stay organized and handle stress.
· Must be able to handle constructive criticism in an environment where we constantly strive for perfection. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated & independent self-starter who’s able to learn & succeed in their job.
Preferences:
· Logistics/Dispatch experience
· McLeod (Freight Management Software) experience
. Greatedge (software) experience
· Customer Service experience
Report-to for the Job: The Operations Support - Tracking position will report directly to the account manager.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
