Pickleheads is the #1 website, blog, newsletter and app for pickleball players. Each month, nearly 1 million players come to Pickleheads to discover courts, connect with local players, organize games, and run round robins. Our content has helped hundreds of thousands of players learn to play and find the right gear for their game.
We have over 340K registered users and our mobile app is #1 on iOS and Android. We’re the official court and game finder of USA Pickleball and the Global Pickleball Federation.
We’re hiring a Head of Content to grow our affiliate business and build our brand through content. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong editorial experience, along with SEO and affiliate marketing expertise.

What You'll Do
- Report directly to our COO and lead our content team
- Develop a content strategy to grow media revenue, engage our audience and drive awareness of the Pickleheads brand
- Manage a team of content creators, reviewers and editors
- Design a content creation process to produce and update quality, high-ranking content
- Track & analyze content performance
- Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in SEO and content
- Maintain relationships with brands and partners
- Create a social strategy to distribute content
- Set & maintain editorial integrity standards
Who You Are
A top 1% content lead. You’re an affiliate marketing expert, ready to lead a team of writers, editors and creators to build a business and brand through content.
You’re data-driven, not afraid to go deep on SEO, and have experience with buying guides, reviews, news, features, and deal posts.
You can create content that engages and inspires and build the strategy and team required to make it happen.
Based in the US or Canada, working regular business hours (flexible on which US timezone).

Our Process
- Review of your resume, portfolio and background along with a video submission introducing yourself
- Interview with our COO, Brandon (45 minutes)
- Second-round technical interview with our Content Strategist, Andreas (45 minutes)
- A take-home test project (3-4 hours)
- Final-round interview with Max, co-founder & CEO, for culture & community fit (30 minutes)
