Job Summary
Are you a proactive, results-driven professional ready to drive business growth and build strong customer relationships? Pico Propane is hiring a Sales Representative to support our operations in Siler City and Yanceyville, North Carolina. This role focuses on engaging and growing commercial customers who rely on propane for heating, drying, power generation, and vehicle fuel (e.g., forklifts and school buses).
This position will support the local plants in Siler City and Yanceyville, NC, in addition to surround areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and target commercial customers, including manufacturers, agricultural businesses, logistics companies, and schools with propane-powered fleets.
- Develop and execute strategies to expand Pico Propane’s presence in the Siler City and Yanceyville markets.
- Educate potential customers on the benefits and applications of propane in their business operations.
- Achieve goals and objectives set by the VP and Director of Sales.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients by delivering personalized solutions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, offering tailored energy and fuel services to meet business needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery and superior customer service.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms with new and existing customers.
- Coordinate installation and service projects with operations and installation teams.
- Respond to and resolve customer inquiries, leveraging company resources to ensure satisfaction.
- Use Salesforce.com CRM to manage leads, track customer interactions, and maintain accurate sales records.
- Generate forecasts and provide reports to leadership on sales performance and market opportunities.

Qualifications
Education, Certification & License Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required; a Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 2–3 years of B2B sales, business development, or account management experience, preferably in energy, logistics, or agriculture.
- Experience in propane, fuel, or energy industries is strongly preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record.
- Willingness to travel locally within the Siler City and Yanceyville areas to meet customers and prospects.
Skills and Abilities:
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and negotiation skills.
- Adept at working independently in a target-driven environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook); familiarity with Salesforce CRM is a plus.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.

- Position may require working evening hours and weekends as needed
- Work is normally performed outside where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, fumes and gases and airborne particles is common
