Job Summary
The Warehouse Associate is instrumental in managing warehouse inventory and operations, in addition to providing field and office support as needed. This individual is required to manage all aspects of the warehouse such as receiving, dispatching, packaging and sorting of goods and materials in addition to maintaining an orderly warehouse in order to ensure accurate inventory.
This position will support our Pico Propane and Fuels location in Carrizo Springs, TX.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Warehouse Functions:
- Coordinates and tracks overall warehouse inventory ensuring that items are received correctly and efficiently into the warehouse from outside suppliers/vendors
- Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders to include pulling materials, packing boxes, and placing orders in delivery area
- Ensures that items are moved efficiently from the warehouse to the work trucks for transport to the field site and all incoming and outgoing material is accurately accounted for
- Responsible for overall warehouse inventory reporting
- Sorts and stocks warehouse shelves
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by maintaining a clean shipping supply area to include keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat and organized
- Complies with established procedures, rules, and regulations regarding warehouse inventory in addition to maintaining quality service by following organization standards
- Maintains inventory records and controls by collecting stock location orders and printing request
- Schedule and perform weekly/monthly/quarterly Inventory audits
- Completes deliveries by driving truck to and from vendors and customers
- Maintains truck by completing preventive maintenance requirements
- Safely loads and unloads materials and product from trucks
- Performs all other duties as assigned by plant manager regarding warehouse management
Plant and Office Support:
- Assists with supporting the on-site bottle dock station
- Acts as customer service office support to assist with walk-in traffic and taking phone calls from customers with general questions or needing to place orders
- Assists with all other duties assigned by Plant Manager regarding general plant support

Qualifications
Education, Certification, Licenses Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- At least 6 months working in a warehouse environment preferred
Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to follow all safety standards and requirements
- Ability to connect and communicate cross-departmentally using plain and concise language
- Customer service oriented
- Must be proficient in the current Microsoft Office Suite specifically with basic Microsoft Excel knowledge desired, including the ability to create and modify spreadsheets
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment or with general warehouse management
Physical, Mental, and Behavioral Requirements:
The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by the incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Position requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to heavy weights of 20 to 100 lbs. for approximately 90% of the work shift
- Good hand eye coordination, arm hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp and visual acuity to operate equipment is required, including at night
- Frequent sitting, reaching with hands and arms
- Must be able to speak and hear
- Must pass pre-employment screening and background check
- Position may require working evening hours and weekends as needed
- Work is normally performed outside where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, airborne particles, fumes and gases is common
