Pictona is a world-class pickleball facility located in Holly Hill, Florida (part of the greater Daytona Beach area). Pictona includes 49 pickleball courts, 13 of which are covered, including a championship court that seats 1200. It also includes an activity center, locker rooms, player shop, and a restaurant called the Kitchen.
The Business Development Associate is responsible for driving tourism strategies and assisting with event strategies. This role involves researching potential markets, reaching out to prospects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve revenue and expansion goals. The position’s focus is on creating content for social media and managing tourism platforms, prospecting and selling events with a focus on the hospitality industry, corporations, and promoting partnerships with third party planners and travel agencies to increase the number of tourists visiting Pictona. The Business Development Associate will assist the Events Manager in hosting and coordinating events, support the Director of Business Development in fulfillment of sponsorship benefits, and work with Pictona staff and outside organizations.
We seek a person who has demonstrated experience in the tourism industry, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
The hours of work are somewhat flexible, but they must be present to work with other staff during the work week. Employment for this full-time position begins immediately. The salary ranges from $40,000 to $50,000 and includes vacation and holidays. There is no budget for health insurance or moving expenses.
