Certification Details BLS - Basic Life Support ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support NIH Stroke Certification PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Job Details Minimum Experience : 2 years; 1st Timers not accepted Patient Population : Adolescents to Geriatrics General Skills and Work Setting Requirements : General Emergency Department (Non-Trauma); very large and busy with high acuity; Stroke and STEMI Certified Ratio / Census : 1 : 4 Ratio; 59 Bed ER averaging 165-175 patients per day Unit Systems : Epic (required), Pyxis Scrub Color : Navy Blue RTO : MAX 7 days Weekends : Every other weekend Floating : Rare Call Requirements : Not specified Holidays : If one major holiday falls in his / her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his / her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his / her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Job Requirements Certifications Required : BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Certification, PALS Required State License verification (if applicable) - within 30 days prior to start date Annual Nursys (RN, LPN / LVN, AP) within 30 days prior to start date Schedule Information Contract Length : 14 days Compliance : Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.
