What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ultrasound/Vascular Tech - PRN position at Piedmont Careers?
(PRN, Days, Piedmont Macon North)
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Performs noninvasive testing for evidence of peripheral vascular (arterial and venous), renal, aorta/iliac and carotid artery disease. Prepares preliminary findings. Provides patient care services using imaging modalities to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC).

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
ARDMS registered for Ultrasound and one of the following: RVT through American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), RVS through Cardiovascular Credential International (CCI), RT(S) , RT(VS)
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
BLS certified. Two years of experience in a hospital inpatient, outpatient/ ambulatory setting as a vascular sonographer preferred.
