Job Summary:
We are seeking a Payroll Analyst to assist with payroll operations, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and support payroll-related reporting and analytics. This role will work closely with HR, Finance, and Operations teams to process payroll accurately and efficiently for our multi-location dental practices.
What you will do:
Key Responsibilities:
· Payroll Processing & Compliance
· Process bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll for all DSO-affiliated dental offices.
· Ensure accurate timekeeping, deductions, benefits, and bonuses.
· Maintain compliance with FLSA, state wage laws, and tax regulations.
· Audit payroll records to identify errors, discrepancies, or potential fraud.
· Process payroll corrections.
Payroll Reporting & Analytics
- Generate and analyze payroll reports, tax filings, and compensation trends.
- Track and report payroll expenses, overtime, and labor costs.
- Assist in 401(k) contributions, HSA deductions, and benefit reconciliations.
- Support the annual W-2 and quarterly 941 tax filing process.
HR & Finance Collaboration
- Work closely with HR and Finance to ensure payroll aligns with company policies.
- Support payroll audits and external compliance reviews.
- Serve as the point of contact for employee payroll inquiries and issue resolution.
- Assist in payroll system upgrades and automation improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, HR, or related field preferred.
- 2 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-location healthcare or DSO setting.
- Strong knowledge of payroll software (ADP, Paycor, Paycom, Gusto, or similar).
- Understanding of payroll tax laws, FLSA, and multi-state payroll compliance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with HRIS/payroll integrations and automation tools.
- Strong Excel skills for payroll data analysis.
- Familiarity with dental industry payroll structures (production/collections-based pay, bonuses, etc.).
