Piedmont Door Solutions is looking for a Service Technician to join our team, specializing in the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial pedestrian door systems. This role will be based in Miami, FL , serving as a satellite technician with primary support from our Lake Worth, FL office. Our technicians are responsible for the repair, maintenance, and installation of doors at various commercial locations, including hospitals, stores, and other facilities. We are looking for candidates with a background in residential or commercial doors, garage doors, construction, military, electrical work, fabrication, access control, glazing, carpentry, mechanical work, or other skilled trades. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently while delivering outstanding customer service. Piedmont Door Solutions provides the necessary training, tools, equipment, and vehicles.
In this role you will...
- Learn to be a Piedmont Door Technician : Diagnose and repair automatic and manual doors, ensuring ADA compliance and performing preventative maintenance.
- Take initiative : Proactively assist in projects, demonstrating autonomy in a high-expectation, low-supervision environment to drive project success.
- Learn and adapt : Deliver exceptional service, maintaining positive relationships with clients and communicating effectively to meet their needs.
- Maintain professional worksite : Ensure a clean, organized, and professional worksite, paying attention to detail, taking pride in workmanship, and solving problems for customers.
- Work with office staff : Order and track parts, materials, and time spent on services.

We are searching for someone with automatic door or similar experience. Candidates should have a good
understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, problem solving and diagnostic skills and be familiar
with power and hand tools.
What are the deal breakers?
Candidates must have a clean criminal and motor vehicle record. Initial Covid vaccine is required due to
work in health care facilities. Yearly flu shots and TB tests are required.
LOCATION
Piedmont Door Solutions has businesses and role openings in Charlotte, Greensboro, and Raleigh, NC; Columbia, SC; Atlanta, GA; Birmingham, AL; Lake Worth, FL; and Dallas and Houston, TX. Depending on which location you choose, you may have to drive up to 2 hours to job sites.
