Job Title - Innovation Center Manager
Department - Innovation Center/ Operations
Reports to - Director of Innovation center
Benefits -
Assists the Innovation Center Director with the management of projects, including coordination of meetings, agendas, minutes, and action items.
Ensures project alignment with objectives, productivity goals, and reporting deadlines.
Manages project dashboard and keeps timely and accurate record of progress.
Assists with supervision of Innovation Center staff.
Assists with onboarding and supervision of Innovation Center student interns/trainees, Medserve Fellows, Interpreter Scribes and Preventive Medicine Residents.
Collaborates with finance, grants, IT department, and project partners for project coordination. Assumes assigned project management responsibilities.
Assists with healthcare dataset analysis and visualization.
Communicates effectively internally within PHS and externally via social media outlets.
Assists with dissemination of scholarly work and creation of presentations for meetings, conferences, etc.
Aligns research strategies with organizational objectives.
Provides oversight on research projects to ensure they are well-designed, ethical, and meet professional standards.
Promotes an integrated approach to research that includes clinical, behavioral, social, and environmental health perspectives.
Implements research protocols and manages compliance with regulations and ethical standards. Facilitates research programs aimed at improving population health outcomes.
Provides guidance to research staff.
Cultivates and maintains relationships with academic institutions, public health organizations, government agencies, and healthcare providers to promote community health research.
Acts as a liaison between the clinical staff, researchers, and the community to ensure that research addresses the health needs and priorities of the population served.
Engages with stakeholders to promote the integration of research findings into healthcare practice and policy.
Provides oversight on collection, analysis, and interpretation of research data.
Uses research findings to inform and advocate for policy changes that benefit community health. Promotes a culture of research within the organization, encouraging staff and clinicians to participate in studies and contribute to evidence-based practices.
Advocates for research funding and resources to support ongoing and new projects. Collaborates with external institutions and/or organizations for opportunities and activities that can enhance innovative research. Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications -
Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public health, epidemiology, or related discipline;
Required: requires the incumbent to be passionate about innovation, and promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement at Piedmont Health Services.
Preferred: Master’s degree in health-related field. 3 to 5 years of experience in innovation management, healthcare research, and/or research support roles.
Experience successfully assisting innovation projects or initiatives. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners. Experience serving underserved population.
