Job Summary
The Emergency Department Patient Flow Coordinator is responsible for the efficient movement of patients through the ED in a safe and timely manner. This role coordinates all patient care activities, serving as a liaison with the ED medical staff to ensure seamless delivery of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate patient flow to optimize efficiency and safety
- Delegate workload and model teamwork, leadership, and professionalism
- Liaise with ED medical staff to facilitate effective care delivery
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a nursing program
- One year of Emergency Department experience as a registered nurse (RN)
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BLS/ACLS/PALS certification required
- BSN preferred
- Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN) preferred
- Experience participating in and/or leading quality and process improvement projects
