CNC Plasma Beam line Operator

Piedmont Metals is seeking an experienced CNC Plasma Beamline Operator with 5-10 years of hands-on experience operating plasma cutting machines in a steel manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC plasma beamline equipment to ensure precision cutting of structural steel components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC plasma beamline machines to cut and fabricate structural steel components according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine cutting requirements.
• Monitor machine operation, making adjustments as needed to maintain precision and quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC plasma equipment to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and machine guarding procedures.
• Conduct quality checks on finished parts using measuring tools to verify dimensional accuracy.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize cutting processes and improve efficiency.
• Maintain accurate production records and document machine settings for repeat jobs.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience operating CNC plasma cutting machines, preferably in a steel fabrication environment.
• Strong understanding of CNC programming, machine setup, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, CAD drawings, and manufacturing specifications.
• Knowledge of steel fabrication processes, material handling, and welding techniques.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
