This position is responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance (including oil changes, battery, spark plug, and filter changes) of Industrial, Commercial and Residential back-up generators. The position requires the use of all available technical resources. The technician must be able to quote repairs while on site and recommend replacement when applicable.

Troubleshoot, Repair, And Maintain, Generators
- Use all available technical resources to determine failure.
- Locate and purchase repair parts.
- Repair equipment.
- Assist department manager with the scheduling of maintenance visits.
- Maintain fully stocked service van with maintenance materials.
- Acquire the cost of all repair parts and materials.
- Determine the labor required to perform repairs.
- Provide customer with the repair estimate using standard department mark-ups.
- Order repair parts and maintenance materials.
- Provide the properly filled out service reports.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure high quality service is always performed to guarantee repeat sales and favorable recommendations.Take prompt action to resolve any customer complaints.Review customer satisfaction surveys with department manager.
- Pre-plan and identify the methods to eliminate hazards daily by work task.
- Execute skill in observing habits and hazards of others, and bringing it to their attention.
- Uphold safety as the most important goal of our company.Support goal of achieving zero accidents.
- Promote and encourage open communication between field and office regarding all safety concerns, suggestions, improvements, and PPE needed.
- Obtain safety training as expected by all company personnel.
- Use eCompliance to do JHA’s and weekly safety talks.

This position requires someone with significant electrical and mechanical aptitude.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial generators of various manufacturers.
- Must be experienced in both repair and maintenance of generators.
- Must have a passion for customer service.
- Must be able to communicate effectively.
- Must be computer literate.
- Must have a positive attitude toward safety.
- Must have a positive attitude toward customer service.
- Ability to maintain a consistent workload that involves moderate manual labor. Most work time is spent at client’s homes and business.
- Must be able to perform after hour’s service.
- Must have a valid clean driver’s license.
- Must be able to maintain a clean and organized service vehicle.
- Communication Skills. Generator experience a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and can pass pre-employment screening requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old and 21 for drivers
- Provide I-9 documents to establish work eligibility
- High school diploma/equivalent required; technical degree preferred. An equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience can substitute
- Generator installation is a plus, but will train the right candidate
