Construction Services Project Manager


Job Summary: The Expediter position ensures Construction Services (with an emphasis on Prefabrication) deadlines, schedules and quotas are met by overseeing the project and construction services schedules, information, components and documentation including review and approvals and by taking action to solve issues to fulfill deliverables and
increase prefabrication. Manage safety, customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction.

  • Manage and communicate Construction Services and field expectations
  • Implement process and improvements.
  • Manage meetings with internal clients, be the point person for both teams, assist with all deliverable scheduling (prefab, engineering and VDC) Construction Services QAQC and client feedback for improvements for best-in-class service.
  • Define scope of work on a weekly basis and forecast for 60 Days, create and maintain project schedules and follow up often to the responsible parties. Analyze and forecast factors that affect results to maximum efficiency
  • Develop appropriate processes and strategies. Address obstacles in the way of achieving the desired outcomes and lead times for projects.
    Coordinate day-to-day – week to week Construction Services objectives to meet project deadlines.
  • Make final decisions for best company ROI for projects and Pieper Electric.
  • Define and assist PM’s and Field leaders with pre-planning requirements to perform C.S. duties. Pull forward their pre-planning tasks to become a priority. Assist with removing the perceived hurdles in accomplishing these tasks.
  • Collaborate and communicate with other branches, department supervisors and project teams.
  • Assist with development of software that increases client experience and overall productivity.
  • Track and keep detailed meeting minutes, issues logs, deviations logs, and responsibility matrices for projects.
  • Communicate at an extremely high and professional level with clients and C.S. teams.
  • Be a point person and liaison for project teams, C.S. and manage the correspondence that happens in and out of sequence and realign teams.
  • Track and assist with deliverables and communication of for VDC, Engineering, Prefabrication.
  • Responsible for scheduling meetings for project and C.S. teams to align and collaborate on all scopes.
  • Communicate and consult larger obstacles with both the project team and C.S. Branch Managers.
    Give feedback to C.S. Manager on project prefabrication opportunities and project granular utilization.
  • Compose detailing drawings for prefabrication and field review for additional opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships in all regions and office locations for projects.
  • Limited travel but in person meetings, working from job sites throughout the state will be required for larger projects.
  • Build trust and customer satisfaction by quality performance and will be measured by surveys.
  • Stay current and aware of electrical code, software, materials, techniques and specifications to assist with best practices, ROI and installations.
  • Complete case studies, document and measure ROI’s. Track, celebrate and market accolades and ROI’s to increase global utilization of C.S. This includes working with marketing and creating power points.
  • Utilize pictures, examples and templates from C.S. to assist with communicated capabilities as well as define and create additional marketing concepts based on feedback.

  • A strong drive for construction project management work and knowledge of efficient construction processes.
  • Must have a desire to work in a team-based environment and contribute immediately.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management/Sciences, Engineering (electrical, mechanical, building science, etc.) or related discipline
  • OR Journeyman electrician with 10 years of field experience required or combination of both education and field experience.
  • Positive safety attitude and personal integrity – both are non-negotiable
  • Be highly customer-service oriented
