The Opportunity
Pier 360 in Vancouver, WA is seeking Peers to provide peer support to individuals in jail and post-release offering a fantastic opportunity for a person in recovery to give back to your community. All Pier 360 services employ people living in mental health and/or substance use recovery. As a Peer Support, you will provide peer support services in a variety of ways. The Peer Support staff performs a wide range of tasks to support people living and directing their own recovery, healing, and wellness process.
****This position requires lived experience with opioids. This could include opioid treatment, opioid management, MAT or Medication for opiate use disorder(MOUD). ****
The Responsibilities
Provide quality peer support services in alignment with our Core Values and Core Competencies for Peer Workers in Behavioral Health Services (SAMHSA). Additional responsibilities include working alongside court and jail teams, facilitating groups, classes, and activities, and connecting peers to community resources.
The Qualifications
We are looking for people who are positive, take initiative, have demonstrated the ability to work independently and well with others, are in recovery, and are great at being with others seeking something better or different in life. For this role, we require lived experience with behavioral health challenges and incarceration. The successful applicant will need to meet Clark County Jail clearance requirements.
The Bennies
$19-24 per hour depending on experience and other considerations related to the position. Comprehensive benefits package, including:
