• Part Time Positions - 10.5 hours per week, as needed with a maximum of 69 hours a month - Location in Buckley.

Special Note : Position Grant Funded. Employment is seasonal and generally consistent with the K-12 academic year.

Pierce County Human Services is the community and human services arm of the Pierce County government. It is the largest contributor to Pierce County's safety net providing services and funding to nearly 170 agencies and governmental jurisdictions. The department collaborates with its community partners, including other public and non-profit funders and service providers to understand current and emerging community and human services needs. Extra hires are eligible to receive sick leave in accordance with the WA State Minimum Wage Act. Extra hires are not eligible for other County benefits.

Social Security

Retirement and Deferred Compensation

Pro-tem Judges in District Court, Pro-tem Superior Court Commissioners, Extra Hires with Retirement, and Work Study Students with Retirement are eligible for Retirement and Deferred Compensation and Social Security.
