Responsibilities:
· Support our legal team by ensuring smooth office organization, case management, and administrative support.
· Showcase your drafting and proofreading skills by preparing various legal documents, such as estate plans, court filings, affidavits, deeds, and more.
· Assist in preparing filings and pleadings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
· Utilize your research and writing abilities to provide comprehensive legal support.
· Manage client workflow, ensuring their needs are met, and cases are progressing smoothly.
· Communicate effectively with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
· Gather necessary information to support case preparation and provide accurate legal advice.
· Skillfully manage calendars and schedules to ensure deadlines are met.
· Conduct client meetings and assist with notarization when necessary.
· Organize files and maintain a systematic approach to document management, including creating instructions and guidelines for a smoother workflow.
Qualifications:
We are seeking a friendly and personable Paralegal who has a special talent for top-notch client-care. Our ideal candidate will also have the following qualifications:
· Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, juggling multiple responsibilities with ease.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear and concise interaction with clients, colleagues, and courts.
· Exceptional organizational skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
· A keen sense of deadlines with a proven record of timely completion of tasks.
· 1-2 years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal, preferably with estate planning, elder law, probate and estate administration, real estate, and/or business and contract law.
· Proficiency in using various software applications relevant to the legal field.
· Notary public or willingness to complete notary courses.
Experience in marketing, social media, or accounting would be an added bonus!
