The Manufacturing Engineer will coordinate manufacturing processes by developing, evaluating and improving manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.

Minimum Qualifications
$72,200.00 - $116,200.00
The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions. The Manufacturing Engineer will coordinate manufacturing processes by developing, evaluating and improving manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
Your Impact

- Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with safety and environmental regulations.
- Under close supervision, perform basic engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks as assigned according to Oshkosh Corporation’s engineering standards and processes.
- Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Conduct time studies, capacity planning, and process flow analyses, and use production data to identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement.
- Responsible for a project or part of a project of limited complexity; may be responsible for managing multiple projects.
- Provide technical support across prototype, pilot, and production builds, including troubleshooting manufacturing issues to minimize downtime.
- Analyze space requirements, workflow and designs layout for equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and support for engineering changes (e.g., ECNs, proposals, CI requests).
- Identify potential hazards and work to mitigate risks in manufacturing processes and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering or related field.
- One (1) – two (2) or more years of experience.
- Knowledge of equipment manufacturing industry or automobile industry.
- Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma tools.
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite; including a strong emphasis on Excel.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
