The primary purpose of this position is to perform, manage and direct daily accounting activities; ensuring that proper accounting and recording of company transactions are performed in an accurate and timely manner; and producing financial and other key reports for management.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Apply accounting principles, regulations, and policies to all work duties.
- Support Accounting Department with assigned clerical tasks.
- Maintain Sage Accounting System to ensure the proper, complete, and accurate record-keeping of accounting company transaction are performed with in the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Transfer new employees Sage (accounting system) to ExakTime (Timecard System) as needed
- Update Cost Codes, employees, and job locations on Account Link as needed
- Responsible for the preparation of the company's financial statements.
- Oversees month-end closing and year-end closing
- Prepares and provides financial statements, analysis, and other reports on a scheduled or unprompted basis.
- Maintains and reconciles the fixed assets to the general ledger of the company.
- Assist in the Insurance Renewal process and gather documentation needed.
- Workers Compensation reporting
- Cash Flow Management.
- Process all tax liabilities and prepare quarterly payroll returns.
- Process and monitor payments and expenditures for all payables on a regular basis.
- Handle any and all duties related to Accounting issues for the Company.
- Responsible for full cycle of accounting and preparation and distribution of Monthly/Quarterly
- Financial Statements.
- Responsible for adjusted annual trial balance and documentation for preparation of Annual
- Financial Statements and Corporate Income Tax Returns.
- Handle Audits for Workers Comp, General Liability, City and any other entities as required
Weekly reporting:
- Cash flow analysis report
- Additional reports may be necessary
Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Knowledge of computer-based spreadsheets and reporting
• Knowledge of Sage 100 contractor is a plus
• Must have spreadsheet reporting skills
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality
• Must be able to prioritize work to meet scheduled deadlines while handling multiple tasks
• Must have excellent accounting skills, strong organization, and communication skills
• Ability to function as a team player
• Ability to function in a leadership role
• Ability to work with scheduled deadlines
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required
• Minimum four years of progressive accounting experience

Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
