NOW HIRING – PURCHASING ASSISTANT
Pierre Landscape is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to join our team! This role is essential in supporting the Purchasing Department by entering budgets into Sage, processing purchase orders, managing master buyouts, and assisting with daily operations. If you are highly organized, detail-oriented, and have strong data entry and Excel skills, this opportunity is for you!
Key Responsibilities:
Data Entry & Job File Management:
Enter budgets into Sage from Excel spreadsheets
Generate and maintain job files in Sage
Transfer data from company templates into Sage
Input vendor pricing in Master Buyout Sheets using Excel
Purchasing Support & Coordination:
Create purchase orders (POs) and master buyouts
Support the Purchasing Department with vendor coordination and material pricing updates
Assist in placing and following up on orders
Work closely with the Production Department on material coordination and job buyouts
Submittal Management & Administrative Duties:
Create and manage submittals and resubmittals
Request and organize photos and specifications from vendors
Maintain accurate filing and documentation for purchasing and job records
Perform general administrative support for the department
Learning & Development:
Be cross-trained in irrigation, dry goods, and green goods to provide department support
Learn purchasing basics, including vendor interaction and order processing
Assist with updating irrigation pricing in Sage on a monthly basis
Other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
Proficiency in Sage and Excel (required)
Strong data entry skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Highly organized with excellent time management
Sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to learn new systems and processes
Experience in purchasing, construction, or landscape materials a plus
Compensation: $22 - $27 per hour (DOE)
Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
