Host/Hostess

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a strong ability to communicate effectively with both guests and staff. This role is essential in ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service from the moment they arrive until they leave.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage the seating arrangements efficiently to optimize flow within the restaurant.
• Maintain an organized waitlist, ensuring timely seating for all guests while managing expectations during peak hours.
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to facilitate smooth service and guest satisfaction.
• Answer phone calls promptly, providing information about menu items, reservations, and special events with excellent phone etiquette.
• Assist in managing guest relations by addressing any concerns or requests promptly and professionally.
• Ensure that the front-of-house area is clean, organized, and inviting at all times.
• Utilize Aloha POS or similar systems for reservations and guest management as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on guest services and hospitality.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure an efficient workflow.
• A genuine desire to help others and create memorable experiences for guests.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.50 - $16.51 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
