We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Marketing and Events Assistant to support the planning, coordination, and execution of marketing campaigns and events. The ideal candidate will assist the Venue Manager with day-of event logistics, promotional activities, social media, and additional marketing tasks. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event coordination, digital and print marketing, and brand promotion. This job will largely be split between working for the golf course and for the event center.
Job Responsibilities:
Golf Course side -
- Develop comprehensive brand standards guidelines for all marketing channels, including print, email, and social media, covering elements such as color schemes, typography, posting schedules, hashtag strategies, and tagging protocols.
- Plan, create, and execute scheduled email marketing campaigns, including a monthly newsletter, promotional materials, and event announcements as needed.
- Maintain marketing calendars and ensure timelines are met for project deliverables.
- Monitor and report on campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics, social media insights, and email marketing software.
- Capture high-quality content for marketing initiatives, including photography. The ideal candidate will attend key golf events to generate relevant visual content.
- Conceptualize and produce engaging, trending video content for social media platforms, including reels, to enhance brand visibility.
- Strengthen consumer engagement by crafting compelling and interactive social media posts across multiple platforms.
- Design, print, and distribute promotional materials for internal use, such as event flyers, flash sales, and food and beverage offerings.
- Manage and optimize geofenced digital advertisements for targeted promotions.
- Maintain the company website, ensuring accurate, up-to-date information and functionality.
- Oversee and create content for the company's TikTok account to align with marketing objectives.
- Utilize the POS system to implement and track promotional campaigns, ensuring accurate reporting.
- Create and manage website pop-ups to drive traffic and highlight key promotions.
Event Center Side -
- Develop and implement comprehensive brand standards guidelines for print, email, and social media, including color schemes, typography, posting schedules, hashtag usage, and tagging strategies.
- Maintain marketing calendars and ensure timelines are met for project deliverables.
- Assist in the creation of marketing content by capturing and generating high-quality photos.
- Research and produce trending video content, including reels, to enhance social media engagement and brand presence.
- Conduct research and propose ideas for hosting in-house events to drive venue engagement.
- Support the Venue Manager in the planning and execution of scheduled events.
- Facilitate the successful coordination and management of in-house events and golf outings held at the Event Center.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-2 years of experience in marketing, events, or a related role preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) and basic knowledge of design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed for events.
- Understanding that you will work more hours during peak season (May - October) and less in the off season.
