SUMMARY:

The Central Technology Manager will lead Pike Engineering in overseeing all technology solutions and operational reporting needs while driving the growth, development, and leadership of Pike Engineering’s future technology team. The incumbent will manage the day-to-day operations of Pike Engineering’s technology team, focusing on application development, reporting, data management and overall technology support. The Central Technology Manager will support and guide the training and mentoring of the technology team. The incumbent will generally oversee 3-4 supervisors and a team of fewer than 30 employees, though responsibilities may adjust based on organizational needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

This position is subject to supervision of progress and results. Among the incumbent’s major responsibilities are the following:

Provide strong management and leadership to support the organization’s vision and strategy while demonstrating initiative and accountability to achieve excellence in work performance.

Uphold high ethical standards in business practices, consistently adhering to and promoting key values and principles in all transactions.

Work closely with the Corporate IT department and Operational Leadership to design and implement technology solutions that streamline business processes and improve efficiency.

Maintain strong employee retention through effective interpersonal contact and with fair and equitable administration of Company policies andprocedures.

Collaborate with Pike Engineering and Corporate IT leadership to ensure the technology infrastructure is secure, reliable, and scalable.

Effectively supervise and communicate with employees to ensure productivity, support their professional progress, and address or resolve any concerns that arise.

Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in the industry to suggest and present innovative solutions for the Organization.

Maintain goodrapport with all clients, vendors, and stakeholders.

Identify when additional staff is needed and obtain approval from the Senior Vice President of Pike Engineering to employ additional personnel in positions and/or projects.

Enforce Company policies and procedures, and take appropriate action, including suspending or removing a subordinate from service when necessary.

Maintain assigned Company equipment and resources and oversee the condition and use of equipment and resources assigned to employees within the incumbent's area of responsibility.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

RELATIONSHIP OUTSIDE WORK GROUP :

Influences decisions of major nature. High degree of tact and diplomacy to obtain favorable decisions or maintain good will.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Responsible for 3-4 supervisors and a team of fewer than 30 employees.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Required Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Related Fields from an accredited four-year college.

ON-THE-JOB TRAINING :

The incumbent is expected to have the necessary skills and experience to perform the role independently, as on-the-job training will not be provided.

LANGUAGE SKILLS :

A. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.

B. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.

C. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS :

A. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plan and solid geometry and trigonometry.

B. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret spread sheets.

REASONING ABILITY:

A. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

B. Ability to define problems collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
