What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Teacher - ESY/Summer Program position at Pilgrim Area Collaborative?
Pilgrim Area Collaborative is a public educational collaborative that serves students with a wide range of disabilities from primary through post-secondary levels from all over the South Shore.
We have an anticipated vacancy for a Special Education Teacher to work at our substantially separate school, Pilgrim Academy, located in North Plymouth. Pilgrim Academy is a small, structured, therapeutic school for students experiencing significant social, emotional and/or behavioral difficulties. The goal of placement is to assist students in re-establishing and maintaining typical adolescent responsibilities such as: consistent school attendance, appropriate emotional regulation, effective interpersonal skills, and consistent completion of school work. The school offers students an opportunity for psychological, academic, and personal growth.
This is a SUMMER ONLY position in our social-emotional/behavioral program.
Well-qualified candidates must have appropriate Massachusetts certification in Special Education and experience with students dealing with social emotional disabilities and/or high functioning ASD. There is an optional ESY Program for summer employment as well.
This is a part-time, seasonal position to start July 7, 2025 and end August 7, 2025.
