Description
POSITION: SHIPPING-FORKLIFT OPERATOR
SHIFT: EVENING 3PM-11PM
REPORT TO: SHIPPING SUPERVISOR
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must make sure that trailers are loaded properly
- Verify that trailer wheels are chocked
- Must be able to operate a pallet jack
- Must help keep area around dock clean
- Must be able to use a scan gun
- Must be able to work in cold temperatures
- Must be willing to work a 35 hour week
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Above average safety and attendance record
- Good communication and planning skills; legible handwriting
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Must be able to work at a safe rate with minimal supervision
- Must be able to work different shifts based on department needs.
- Must be forklift certified
- Other duties will be assigned by supervisor
- Shipping yard truck driver will be a required training
