About the Position:
As a Beverage Production Associate at Pilgrim’s Market, you will play a key role in our Beverage Department, with a focus on high-temperature dish machine operation for washing and sanitizing bottles, ensuring health and safety standards are met, and assisting in various production tasks. Your responsibilities will include not only, bottle washing/sanitation prepping, bottling, labeling, and stocking beverages but also handling inventory, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and contributing to a smooth, efficient production process.
Key Responsibilities:
Beverage Production & Bottling:
- Use high-temperature dish machines to wash, sanitize, and prepare bottles for beverage production.
- Bottle, label, and package juices, nut milks, functional beverages, and lemonades in line with company specifications and health regulations.
- Ensure beverages are stored properly to maintain freshness and quality.
Health & Safety Compliance:
- Adhere strictly to health codes, food safety regulations, and company protocols in all production activities.
- Maintain cleanliness by following sanitation procedures, including regular cleaning of equipment, bottles, and storage areas.
- Ensure proper use of high-temp dishwashing machines to ensure sanitized, safe bottles for production.
Labeling & Stocking:
- Label beverages with accurate ingredient lists, allergen information, and expiration dates.
- Stock and organize inventory, ensuring products are readily available and easily accessible for production.
- Regularly take inventory and communicate restocking needs to the Beverage Department Manager.
Physical Tasks:
- Perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, twisting, and standing for extended periods during shifts.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs safely and repeatedly as part of daily duties.
Quality Control:
- Conduct quality checks during production to ensure beverages meet Pilgrim’s Market standards for taste, consistency, and quality.
- Report any discrepancies or production issues to the Beverage Department Manager for immediate action.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work as part of a collaborative team, ensuring smooth workflows and timely production.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members about production schedules, inventory, and any challenges that arise.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience: Previous food production or beverage handling experience is preferred but not required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Health & Safety Knowledge: A basic understanding of food safety practices and adherence to health codes is essential.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with others in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Attention to Detail: Must be able to handle detailed tasks like labeling, stocking, and ensuring high production standards.
- Equipment Handling: Ability to operate dish machines, bottling equipment, and other kitchen tools safely and efficiently.
