Purpose :
Manage the commercial relationships in the Northeast US & Canada region including : Quebec & New Brunswick Canada, Maine, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. The incumbent will also support the Sales and Marketing function in delivering the commercial objectives and strategy.
Essential Functions :
- Manage sales for the assigned region to meet or exceed budgeted targets.
- Coordinate activities with related functions (i.e. manufacturing, planning, finance, credit, customer service, quality, supply chain, etc.) to implement the SBU sales and marketing strategy.
- Manage the day-to-day contact with buyers and other customer representatives.
- Work closely with customers, glazing contractors, and architects to develop relationships, establish requirements, and identify opportunities.
- Work extensively with architects to promote and specify NSG products.
- Analyze customer requests and ensure appropriate actions are taken within the business liaising with manufacturing, planning, quality, etc. as necessary.
- Fully understand the assigned market and all implications to the business.
- Identify and develop new customers and business opportunities per the commercial strategy.
- Evaluate the quality and delivery performance for nominated customers.
- Monitor and report on commercial and competitor activities within the defined region.
- Adherence to NSG / Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its Values and Principles.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
