Job Type : Full-time

Salary : 70,000.00 to 75,000.00 annually

On-Call Requirement : 24 / 7 Availability

Position Overview :

We are seeking an Assistant Director of Residential Services to support the Director in overseeing daily operations, compliance, and staff management across multiple residential programs. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated leader with a strong background in residential services, regulatory compliance, and staff supervision.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist in managing residential programs, ensuring quality care and compliance with NJ state and federal licensing regulations.
  • Supervise and support Group Home Managers in daily operations, staff coordination, and program development.
  • Handle administrative tasks including documentation, reports, and correspondence related to resident care and licensing.
  • Participate in resident referral screenings, interviews, and transition planning.
  • Coordinate safety and maintenance checks, licensing reviews, and corrective action plans.
  • Process check requests, purchase orders, attendance reports, and incident reports.
  • Maintain communication with families, staff, and external agencies to ensure resident well-being.
  • Manage budgets, rental payments, and financial reports for housing-related programs.
  • Serve as a key problem-solver for staff and resident concerns, developing effective solutions.
  • Perform some direct care duties as needed and remain available for 24 / 7 on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Healthcare Administration, or a related field and at least 2 years of experience in residential services or 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in residential services, with staff supervision responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of NJ state and federal licensing regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain organized documentation.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities to address resident and staff needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and electronic health record systems.
  • Ability to travel between residential locations as needed.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
