Pilot John International seeks an energetic, outgoing, self-starter who is driven with a desire to win to join our sales team. We are looking for an approachable, friendly, coachable individual with the ability to multitask and willingness to collaborate to provide exceptional service to our customers in the aviation industry. As a member of the sales team, it is crucial for the candidate to have the ability to foster relationships with existing customers and develop new ones. This Aviation Specialist position is based at our Greenville, NC headquarters. No experience in the aviation industry is required, training will be provided

  • Business development with effective use of core sales tools: LinkedIn, Google Apps, Microsoft Office, Asana, Missive, and more as needed
  • Capability of understanding customer pain points and specific requirements
  • Strong communication skills; written, verbal, presentation
  • Aptitude to manage numerous requests and time demands concurrently, while achieving production goals
  • Strong sense of urgency for reaching goals. Self starter and willingness to bring new ideas to the company
  • Contributes fully to the team effort and plays an integral part in the smooth running of the sales team’s production goals.

  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service to PJi customers via telephone, email, and online chat; provide timely and accurate information
  • Maintain and build customer relationships
  • Log opportunities and feedback within our CRM to document progress
  • Demonstrate an eagerness to learn about new products, manufacturing partners, and the aviation business industry
  • Log customer complaints and feedback and reporting instances to the direct report.
  • Expected to monitor related sales team email inboxes and assist sales team members with other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to collaborate with team members and internal department

  • Experience using Apple computers.
  • Must be able to work independently and as a team member.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Mathematical:

Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasonable Ability:

Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:

Advanced understanding of office applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Google Suite of Office Products, Communication/collaboration tools (MS Teams, Skype, etc.).

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
