- Assist the Business & Finance Department with the following:
- Process Invoices for payment and verify accuracy prior to voucher creation
- Prepare vouchers and sends to the County for processing
- Prepares and makes deposits
- Verify accuracy of Accounts receivable and send revenue reports to required staff
- Vendor creation and maintenance
- Create and amend Purchase Orders
- Work with requisitioners as needed to review the requisition process
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements for all enterprise funds
- Assist the Human Resources and Payroll Departments with the following:
- Process payroll and verify accuracy prior to voucher creation
- Prepare vouchers and sends to the County for processing
- Prepare quarterly and annual tax forms
- Review benefit setup and selections
- Create and maintain employee profiles and positions in School ERP Pro
- Work with new hires during the onboarding process
- Assist with job postings and the application process
- Assist with issuing contracts
- Assist the Chief Financial Officer with the following
- Creation of financial statements for the various enterprise funds
- State and Federal reporting requirements
- Managing member district requests
- The creation of monthly board reports
- The management of the Curriculum Consortium financials and requests
- The preparation and management of CTSO travel arrangements and balances
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus some college coursework in accounting, business, or related field preferred.
- Three (3) years combined experience in accounting/procurement and Payroll/HR in a school district or similar setting
- Experience in the use of School ERP Pro or other comparable school finance software
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Working knowledge of the USFR and the Chart of Accounts strongly preferred
- Knowledge of applicable local, state, federal rules, and laws as they pertain to the position
- Highly skilled in word processing, spreadsheet applications, and relevant software applications (Google Apps., Microsoft Office, etc.)
- Must pass a background check
- MMR immunization (unless born prior to January 1, 1957)
- Negative TB test within the last year
- Valid AZ driver’s license
- Knowledge of office concepts, practices and procedures
- Capability to be highly organized , attention to detail, and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Knowledge of Career and Technical Education.
- Ability to utilize mathematical formulas, and apply math functions

Position Summary:
Assists, and acts as backup for all Business Office positions, including: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, Payroll, and HR. Carries out all relevant duties in compliance with rules and regulations set forth by the Uniform System of Financial Records (USFR). Individual works with highly confidential information. Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
