Location: Lincoln Park, NJ (On site)
Compensation Range: $50,000 – 70,000

We are searching for a high-energy Receiving Manager to oversee all aspects of the receiving department within our multiple warehouse locations. This individual will be responsible for managing incoming shipments, ensuring accurate inventory control, and coordinating with various teams to optimize the flow of goods from receipt to storage. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to maintain high standards of safety and quality.
Some of the things you’ll be doing…
- Receiving Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the receiving department across multiple warehouse locations, ensuring all incoming shipments are unloaded, inspected, and logged into the inventory system accurately and efficiently.
- Team Management: Lead, train, and develop a team including supervisors, receiving clerks and associates. Set clear expectations, provide guidance, and evaluate performance using “Paycor”, PIMS’ Human capital management (HCM) platform.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and ensure products are accurately stored and properly organized. Collaborate with inventory control teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate stock counts.
- Vendor & Carrier Coordination: Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and carriers to schedule deliveries, manage delays, and resolve any issues related to shipments or product quality.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all receiving activities comply with safety protocols and the best warehouse practices. Maintain a clean and organized receiving area to reduce the risk of accidents or inventory damage.
- Quality Control: Perform routine quality checks on received products to ensure they meet company standards and specifications. Manage the process of returns for damaged or incorrect shipments.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of all incoming shipments, including purchase orders, packing lists, and other relevant documentation. Generate and review reports to track the accuracy and timeliness of receiving processes.
- Process Improvement: Continuously identify areas for improvement in the receiving process, including increasing efficiency, reducing errors, and enhancing team performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Inventory Control, Order Fulfillment, and Shipping teams to ensure smooth operations across all departments.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND & WORK EXPERIENCE
- Experience: 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role in receiving or logistics.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using warehouse management software (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams etc.). Experience with barcode scanners and inventory management systems is a plus.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team. Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with internal teams, vendors, and carriers.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail when processing incoming shipments and managing inventory.
- Safety Knowledge: Knowledge of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety standards.

This position requires heavy lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands. Involves standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 30 lbs. stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. May involve reaching above eye level. Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Able to sustain long periods enclosed in surveillance areas.
