Pincanna is a vertically-integrated cannabis company with headquarters in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Pincanna has a 135,000 square foot cultivation and production facility in Pinconning, Michigan, a retail location in Kalkaska, Kalamazoo, Pinconning, East Lansing and Mt. Pleasant and planned retail locations throughout Michigan.
The Extraction Lead will oversee all production, quality assurance, operations, training, safety awareness and personnel in each the Ethanol room and Distillation room. Most importantly, the Ethanol/Distillation lead will maintain a safe work space, utilizing the resources around him to maximize product throughput and overall repeatability of process in Ethanol extraction, Distillation and cart production.

- Operate and manage the high-throughput progression of product through winterization, filtration, and distillation of the resulting crude oil using thin film distillate systems, and finally isolation
- Interview, hire and train required extraction laboratory personnel in order to keep up with production requirements for the ethanol room and distillation/cart production.
- Consistently achieve quality end products with repeatability
- Create new and improved product formulations
- Ensuring regulatory compliance, including safety, environmental and document control requirements
- Ability to resolve any conflict respectfully and in a timely manner, addressing and resolving problems in order to create a culture of engagement and high-performance
- Ensuring equipment reliability throughout production process
- Inventory of terps and hardware needed for cart production
- Inventory of ethanol needed for extraction
- Proper cleaning of equipment maintaining a high quality, consistent end product.
- Being able to meet monthly production quotas.
- Ability to supervise and provide constant tasks for extraction assistants.
- Organize and log production numbers for overall extraction in ethanol, distillation and cart production
- Ability to perform minor maintenance on equipment.
- Keep all data logs up to date at all times
- During down time assist Hydrocarbon and Ice water extraction rooms.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Highly skilled and experienced in botanical extractions (Butane, Ethanol, C02, h2o distillation, isolate)
- Experienced in mixing terpenes for inhalation
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering or a related field preferred
- Superior time management skills including the ability to manage multiple issues concurrently and the ability to lead an effective and efficient meeting
- Exposure to a fast paced and deadline related environment is preferred
- Knowledge of management and organizational concepts, principles, and techniques with demonstrated professional assertiveness
- Excellent critical thinking skills to be able to troubleshoot any issues with the processes and instrumentation
- Strong math and computer skills, including ability to create and interpret data
- Experience in Microsoft excel and making spreadsheets
