What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Sales Associate position at PINCH A PENNY POOL PATIO SPA?
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position reports directly to the store manager. This position is responsible for keeping the store clean, performing water testing, filling pool additive jugs, using a cash register, and helping with customer needs.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
HS Diploma preferred. Previous retail and/or pool supply experience not required. Will train. Excellent customer service skills and willingness to learn required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:
To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Perform water balance testing, as needed, for customers.
Answer phones.
Help customers with purchases, carrying purchases to the car.
Ensure store is clean at all times; straighten shelves, dust shelves, keep furniture, displays and counter area clean.
Breakdown cardboard boxes.
Dump trash.
Stock product.
Fill jugs/carry to customer’s car.
Cash out customer purchases accurately.
Process returns, with proper authority.
May perform minor repairs.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:
The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. The position requires constant walking, bending and lifting. Ability to answer phones and perform functions on a computer necessary when interacting with customers and or the corporate office.

Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
