What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at Pinch?
pinch is one of the newest restaurants to join the Willamette Valley dining scene. We’ve created a space with playful cuisine in an informal cozy atmosphere showcasing a menu with intentional focus on the seasons without compromising the integrity of the ingredients.
Job Details
-Strong product knowledge of all menus - lunch, HH, dinner, special event, etc.
-Worldly wine knowledge and constant studies of current wine list
- Warmly greets and provides memorable experiences for all guests with an engaged, positive and enthusiastic-self starting demeanor
- Being familiar with seating chart and seat numbers
- Keeps up with menu changes, wine additions, specials, etc.
- Strong focus on guest satisfaction
- Sales focus, upselling premium spirits and wine, selling appetizers, desserts, beverages throughout dining experience
- Pre-clearing and clearing tables, marking for next course, firing tickets in timely manner
-Communicates to kitchen team any special requests i.e. birthday, anniversary, allergy
- Keeps track of quality and quantity of all menus
- Inventory counts of all dry goods
- Keep track of liquor needs
- Handles gift card transactions
- Has excitement for wine and food! Actively grows and maintains knowledge of our menu, cooking methods, sourcing programs, and of our wines with basic winemaking and winegrowing practices
- Participates in both onsite and offsite special events as needed
- Adheres to standards of sanitization and cleanliness
- Ensures dining room, host station, and restrooms are stocked, clean, and organized
- Participate in staff meetings
- Assist with all side duties
Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs repeatedly and stand regularly for extended periods of time
- Past bartending and hospitality experience required
- Must be detail oriented and organized with a professional demeanor and appearance
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Requires working weekends, special events, and some holidays
