Overview:
We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Customer Service Associate / Cashier. As a Customer Service Associate, you will be responsible for providing excellent service to our customers and ensuring smooth transactions at the cash register in The Candy Shop. Duties:
- Operate cash register and handle customer transactions accurately and efficiently
- Greet customers and provide assistance with their shopping needs
- Answer customer inquiries and provide product information
- Process returns and exchanges in accordance with company policies
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and monitoring product levels/ Cleaning shelves.
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits
- Upsell products and services to maximize sales opportunities
Skills:
- Proficient in cash handling and operating a cash register
- Strong sales skills with the ability to meet or exceed sales targets
- Knowledge of retail math for calculating discounts, taxes, and change
- Excellent verbal communication skills in English; fluency in Spanish is a plus
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer complaints or issues
- Ability to quickly learn about new products and effectively communicate their features to customers
