We’re looking for a bright and motivated Senior Project Manager to join our Leaking Underground Storage Tanks team in Berkley, Lansing, or Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The Senior Project Manager position is ideal for someone looking to build their skills for career advancement and professional growth. The ideal candidate will be familiar with relevant Michigan regulations and have at least 5 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry.
A Day in the life of Senior Project Manager
- Project management and coordination of leaking underground storage tanks, site assessment, remediation, and state contract projects.
- Develop and execute project plans, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.
- Prepare and/or review technical work plans outlining project methodologies, objectives, and deliverables.
- Establish and maintain positive client relationships through effective communication, and deliverables.
- Generate comprehensive and accurate reports detailing projects progress, findings, and recommendations.
- Ensure reports comply with regulatory standards and client expectations.
- Develop project budgets and cost estimates, monitoring expenditures to stay within budget constraints.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to project specifications and timelines.
- Oversee data collection activities, including soil, water, and soil gas/vapor sampling.
- Manage and evaluate collected data to inform decision making and project direction.
What you bring to the Pinchin team
- Five plus years of Leaking Underground Storage Tank and site assessment experience.
- A bachelor’s degree in geology, environmental science, or a related field.
- Knowledge of Michigan’s environmental regulations (Part 213/201/211/215).
- Experience with state contracts and bid specifications is preferred.
- Report writing experience should include Initial Assessment Reports, Final Assessment Reports, and Closure Reports, as well as institutional controls such as restrictive covenants, MDOT ELAs and PHICs.
- Field experience should include subcontractor oversight, drilling and excavation oversight, soil and groundwater sampling, and other related tasks.
- Excellent communication, analytical, organization and time management skills are critical to success in this position.
- Must be detail-oriented and a team player.
- Project management and budgeting experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Ability to work in various settings and climates.
- Ability to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, and the ability to pass a company physical.
