Career Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Speech Therapist (SLP) to join our therapy team. As a Speech Therapist, you will work collaboratively with our therapy teams and Rehab Department to provide speech therapy services to our patients. You will be responsible for completing evaluations and necessary documentation, providing recommendations supporting communications and assessments, and offering treatments that help improve patients' speech and/or dysphagia and overall ability to communicate.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the therapy teams and Rehab Department to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Complete evaluations and all necessary documentation, including progress notes and treatment plans
- Provide recommendations supporting communications and assessments
- Offer treatments that help improve patients' speech and/or dysphagia and overall ability to communicate
- Independently manage workflow, which includes allotting time for treatment documentation of individual and group treatments and notes in the electronic records system
- Familiarity with PDPM and Medicaid/Medicare billing requirements
Qualifications
- New Jersey SLP License
- Background/experience in long term care (specifically a Skilled Nursing Facility)
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities and ability levels
